iPhone 4S real-world data speeds: What Siri wont tell you

At CNET’s office building, the iPhone 4S from AT&T has a hard time getting a 3G connection.

Cool as she is, the iPhone 4S’ new personal assistant Siri hasn’t been able to tell me in a meaningful way which iPhone 4S offers the fastest data speeds. In the end, I resorted to the usual do-it-yourself approach: a real-world test. And the results were interesting.

Samsung Surpasses Apple As World’s Top Smartphone Vendor

has been lost to the Korean company whose smartphone sales were up by more than 40 percent over the previous quarter.
According to Strategy Analytics, Samsung shipped 27.8 million smartphones in the last quarter as compared to Apple ‘s 17.1 million sold.
An important thing to note here is that Strategy Analytics has estimated shipment numbers and not actual sales. Apple on the other hand clearly mentions how many units it sold over the last quarter. (more…)

After months of rumors and speculations, Apple unveiled their hotly anticipated fifth generation iPhone called

As the name suggests, iPhone 4S is not a redesigned iPhone as many of us had hoped, it looks like iPhone 4 but comes with a number of new features and improvements.
