Attention all Line2 iPhone , iPod Touch, and iPad users:
Please do not upgrade to iOS version 4.2.
If you upgrade to iOS 4.2 and you are running Line2 in the background, the ringer will continue to ring even after an incoming call is answered. This affects Line2 as well as all other VoIP and social calling apps. (Note: If you do not use Line2 your Toktumi service will not be effected.)

Skype-Verizon Exclusive Deal May Deprive iPhone Users Of Skype’s VoIP Calls Over 3G

You might recall that VoIP over 3G had not been enabled by AT&T till October of this year. Following an investigation by FCC into possible violations of net neutrality, AT&T
and opened up their 3G network for VoIP based services late last year. However, it is only now that Apple has removed the restrictions from their side.

The new version fixes a few bugs besides introducing a couple of significant additions. iPhone users on Skype version 1.3 can IM in the landscape mode. Also, the new version comes with a call quality indicator helping users decide the right time to call. But besides these additions, the update has largely been a disappointment without the inclusion of features such as

Is An Upcoming Voice Call Technology the Reason Why VoIP Over 3G Is Still Unavailable?

It is now over three months since AT&T's announcement and we are yet to see Skype running over 3G. So why hasn't this happened? Why hasn't AT&T delivered on its promise? The answers to these questions are supposedly with Apple . Apparently, it is not AT&T, but Apple that has chosen not to let these iPhone apps run over the 3G network.
