iPhone users grabbed 6 million free apps a day in December

iPhone users downloaded more than 6 million of the top free apps each day in December.

iPhone users were busy in December downloading more than 6 million of Apple ‘s top free apps each day.

For the last month of 2011, the iPhone app store witnessed a record 6.04 million downloads per day, a 7 percent jump over the previous high of 5.45 million daily downloads in November.

T-Mobile to improve support for unlocked iPhone users

Starting January 30, T-Mobile plans to offer additional support for the over 1 million iPhone users that have unlocked their device for use on its network. T-Mobile watchblog TmoNews was able to obtain company documents detailing the new support policies.

Apple ‘s iPhone 4S appears to be winning a healthy number of customers from rival mobile platforms.

A hefty 36 percent of iPhone 4S buyers said they jumped ship from an Android, BlackBerry, or Palm device, according to a study released yesterday by Consumer Intelligence Research Partners (CIRP).

Call muting growing issue for iPhone 4S users

Though the biggest gripe for most iPhone 4S users has been an abnormally short battery life, an issue that could prove to be just as frustrating is gaining vocal ground in support forums across the Web.

These iPhone 4S owners are experiencing random muting during phone calls, an issue that has reportedly been ignored in the forthcoming iOS 5.1 update.
