AT&T has now announced that they are expanding the Wi-Fi hotzone project to Charlotte in North Carolina. The new Wi-Fi hotzone shall be located over the South Brevard street from the area surrounding the NASCAR Hall of Fame plaza to East Trade Street. The hotzone can also be accessed by AT&T customers who use the Lynx light rail. In the media statement, AT&T has indicated that a third hotzone shall be deployed in Chicago ”

iPhone 4′s HSUPA Support Increases Upload Speeds Significantly

HSUPA (also known as Enhanced Uplink) is a 3G protocol that provides uplink speeds up to 5.76 Mbps in the Category 6 flavor supported by iPhone 4. It joins HSDPA (High-Speed Download Packet Access), the enhanced download upgrade to UMTS 3G service that was supported by last year's iPhone 3GS, enabling up to 7.2 Mbps downloads. Because it lacked support for HSUPA, iPhone 3GS was limited to just 384 kbps uploads.

iOS 4 Might Allow iPhone Users To Upload Videos Directly To Facebook

Currently, iPhone users can send videos to their family and friends via email, MMS or directly upload them to MobileMe or YouTube.

Qik’s iPhone App Can Now Upload Video Over 3G

The official iPhone app didn’t work like their other mobile apps. It is a capture and upload app and doesn’t broadcast live video from the iPhone .
It worked only over Wi-Fi.
As expected, Qik didn’t have any problems getting the new version of their iPhone app approved, which now works over
3G. So it addresses one of the limitations.
