Apple is sprinkling a little fairy dust for the second day of its 12 Days of Gifts app.
The app offers a new free digital gift every day from December 26 to January 6. Launching it today grants you the pilot episode to the ABC show “Once Upon a Time.” Just open the app, tap on the button to View Gift, and then select the pilot episode to download it on your iPhone or iPad.

iPhone 5S supply continues to try to catch up with demand.
As of Monday, Apple ‘s US online store now lists an estimated wait time of just 3 to 5 business days for all variations of the popular 5S. That’s an improvement over the 1 to 2 weeks listed a little more than a week ago.

iOS 7 seems to have trouble telling the time following the end of daylight saving time in some countries.
Several readers of AppleInsider told the blog site that the line indicating the current time is off by an hour in the Calendar app. As an example, people for whom the current time is 6:00 a.m. will see 7:00 a.m. marked instead.

iPhone 5 buyers aiming to order the phone online through Apple now face a wait time of only two to four days.
That’s a hefty improvement over the three to four weeks originally estimated when the phone was first available through preorders in September. Supply finally started to catch up with demand around mid-November, when the estimate fell to two to three weeks. Since (more…)

Consumers eyeing an iPhone 5 for the holidays now stand a much better chance of snagging one.
A poll of 20 U.S. Apple Stores conducted by Piper Jaffray analyst Gene Munster found the iPhone 5 readily available for customers, AppleInsider reported today.
