Apple still exploring haptic touch for iPhones, iPads

Haptic technology allows users to “feel” buttons on a touch-screen device by providing localized feedback when users’ fingers touch button or control areas. A patent application filed in late March showed Apple ‘s version of haptic technology, a process that would use piezoelectric actuators under the display to provide feedback.

Still plenty to see at Macworld 2012

The Macworld expo is not what it once was, but you wouldn’t know it from the excitement from both vendors and Mac faithful who attended this year’s show.

Macworld 2012 started today at Moscone Center North in San Francisco. Though Macworld no longer attracts the big crowds and big-name vendors it once did, I saw plenty of excited vendors and show goers checking out the latest (more…)

Stolen iPhones May Still Receive iMessages Sent To The Original Owner

According to various user accounts, stolen
still seem to be receiving iMessages being sent to the original owner, despite taking measures like remote wiping or changing Apple ID passwords.
According to Hovis, his wife deactivated her iPhone with her carrier, remote wiped it, and immediately changed her Apple ID password—”we picked up a new iPhone the next day, figuring that our insurance would end up paying for it”

seem to be popping up from everywhere. A Japanese blog claims that the next-generation tablet will be slightly thicker, but will still support the smart cover.
claims to have some information from an insider in the Asian supply chain. They believe the iPad 3 will be slightly thicker due to some unknown change in the device.

Back in 2010, Steve Jobs had famously taken a dig at Apple ‘s competitors for launching tablets that sport a 7-inch screen. Steve Jobs had this to say about upcoming tablets from Apple ‘s competitors at that time:
