iPhone 5 wins Apple No. 2 spot among all U.S. phone makers

The new iPhone has given Apple a slight lead over LG in U.S. mobile market share, according to new data from ComScore.

For the three months ending October, Apple stole second place from LG by grabbing a 17.8 percent share of the entire U.S. cell phone market, up from 16.3 percent in the prior three months. LG trailed with 17.6 percent, a drop from 18.5 percent.

Angry Birds sequel Bad Piggies hogs top spot among iOS apps

Those Bad Piggies may not be so bad if they can soar to the top of the iOS charts in just a few hours.

Released from its pen earlier today for iOS and Android, the Angry Birds sequel is the most-downloaded paid app among both iPhone and iPad users.

iPhone again scores top spot at customer satisfaction

iPhone owners are the happiest among smartphone customers, but mobile users in general share the same major beef: battery life.

For the seventh year in a row, Apple was tops among smartphone makers with a satisfaction score of 839 out of 1,000, according to the latest survey results from J.D. Power. The company did well in all of the factors measured by the survey–performance, (more…)

RIM, Nokia, HTC And Motorola Respond To Apple’s Claim That Every Smartphone Has A Weak Spot

At the press conference, Steve Jobs explained that they’ve got to the heart of the problem, and that is smartphone have weak spots, which was a challenge not just for Apple but also for the entire mobile industry.
Not surprisingly, this hasn’t gone down too well with Apple ’s competitors. RIM, Nokia, HTC and Motorola have fired back at Apple for drawing them into the antenna issue.
