Could Apple sell as many as 280 million iOS devices next year?

Apple could sell as many as 280 million iOS devices in 2012, according to a series of calculations compiled by market research firm Asymco.

If accurate, that figure would be more than double the number of devices that Apple sold during its full fiscal 2011 year.
