It’s quite often that you realize you needed information from a browser tab you just closed. Most desktop browsers let you do this by giving a “Reopen closed tabs” button on the “New Tab” page.
What about Mobile Safari on the iPad?
Did you know that you can tap and hold the new tab icon (looks like a plus symbol) in Safari on the iPad and a list of recently closed tabs will appear?

iOS 5: Safari Is Most HTML5 Compatible Mobile Browser

For its analysis, InfoWorld ran
‘s suite of compatibility tests, which examines how strictly browsers adhere to the standards in place for HTML5. They found out that iOS 5′s version of Mobile Safari is the best among all mobile browsers.

BackForwardList: Access Navigation History Via Back And Forward Buttons In Mobile Safari With This Jailbreak Tweak

One of the desktop Safari features that we miss in Mobile Safari for iPhone , iPad and iPod touch, is the back and forward navigation history, which allows you to jump directly to a URL from the list.
Currently in Mobile Safari, you can only go to the previous or the next webpage using the navigation buttons at the bottom. So if you want to go few webpages back, you need to keep tapping on the back button.
