Japanese blog – Macotakara reports that according to their Chinese sources, Pegatron and Foxconn – Apple ‘s manufacturing partners have started assembling the

Macotakara reports that Pegatron has got the bulk of the order and will be assembling almost 85% of the new iPads, while Foxconn will assemble the remaining 15%.

iPhone, iPad processor made by Samsung in Texas, report says

The processor running in the iPhone 4S and iPad 2 is being produced in Texas, a new report claims.

According to Reuters, citing sources, Samsung is producing the Apple A5 processor at a new 1.6-million-square-foot factory in Austin. The facility, which went into full production earlier this month, cost Samsung $3.6 billion. (more…)

Analyst report: iPhone 4S supply issues due to constrained key component

In a note to investors, Rodman & Renshaw analyst Ashok Kumar claims that Apple ‘s supply issues regarding the iPhone 4S are due not only to extremely high demand but also a key component not being readily available.

Report: 39% of Twitter photos come from an iOS device

According to a report at The Next Web, Apple ‘s iOS devices, including iPhones and iPads, account for at least 39 percent of the photo traffic on Twitter. Photo search engine Skylines has constructed a breakdown of the various platforms and clients that post photos to Twitter, showing that despite iOS 5′s relatively young lifespan it is already the seventh-largest Twitter client.
