If you were eagerly waiting for SiriToggles then the good news is it is now available on Cydia via the BigBoss repo.
to use Siri to enable and disable various Settings toggles like Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, control brightness, reboot your iPhone 4S and lots more.
SiriToggles adds a load of new features on the iPhone 4S. SiriToggles allows you to tell Siri to enable/disable certain settings, get info on battery level, change your screen brightness and even launch apps. The commands are structured as follows:
For toggling – You can say either “enable/disable” or “turn on/turn off” then on of the folowwing things: Wi-Fi, Blutetooth, Airplane mode, cellular data.
To get the battery level – say anything like “how much battery do I have left” or “what is my remaining battery percentage”.
To launch an app – say “launch app” then the name. For example, to open Safari say “Launch Safari”.

Hot on the heels of providing details of the untethered jailbreak for iPhone 4S and iPad 2, Chronic Dev team has just released the greenpois0n Absinthe to jailbreak iPhone 4S and iPad 2.
greenpois0n Absinthe is the result of the hard work of the jailbreak dream team.
iPhone 4S running iOS 5.0, 5.0.1 (9A405 and 9A406)
iPad 2 Wifi/GSM/CDMA running iOS 5.0.1

Looks like the iPhone 4S is getting its “Shawshank Redemption” moment today. A jailbreak for the new iPhone and its A5-based cousin, the iPad 2, has been spotted.

The “corona untether” jailbreak for A4 devices running iOS5 was released in December, and since then a “dream team” of iOS hackers including the iPhone Dev Team, Chronic Dev Team and pod2G have been working to liberate iOS devices built around the more powerful A5 processor.

The site hosting the jailbreak has been very difficult to access this morning, but some people seem to be getting through, if you believe all the chatter on Twitter. For now, the jailbreak’s only available for Mac OS X, with a Windows version available soon, according to a couple of the hackers.

TinyUmbrella 5.10.05 Released to Fix Crashing Issue Affecting Windows Users

has released an new version (5.10.05) to fix the bug that caused the Windows version of TinyUmbrella to crash at startup.
allows you to take backups of SHSH blobs (ECID SHSH) to let you downgrade to older iOS versions.
Thanks to an especially determined user (@szr8) I finally squashed a nasty bug that caused Windows users’ TU to crash on startup. Apparently it was something stupid that I was doing that I thought i wasn’t doing. Either way. Many of you have voiced this issue but now it’s fixed. This fix affects you if TU would crash on startup with “LibraryFinder” errors in the log.
Even though Apple has made it difficult to downgrade to an older version of iOS 5.x using SHSH blobs in iOS 5, it may be a good idea to take a backup of SHSH blobs.

The wait for the untethered jailbreak for iOS 5.0.1 is finally over.
iPhone Dev team and Chronic Dev team have released the untethered jailbreak for iPhone 4, iPhone 3GS, iPod touch 3G, iPod touch 4G and iPad 1.
iPhone Dev team announced the release of the latest version of Redsn0w that supports untethered jailbreak on their blog. They’ve provided the following details:
A few days ago, @pod2g gave the untether to both the iPhone devteam and the chronic devteam.
We’ve put it into redsn0w 0.9.10 and PwnageTool, and the chronic devteam put it into a Cydia package (the same set of exploits is in all three).
The untether is for iOS 5.0.1 on iPhone 3GS, iPhone 4, iPhone 4-CDMA, iPad1, iPod touch 3G, iPod touch 4G
If you have one of those devices and are not on 5.0.1 yet, update now! The SHSH window is still open for 5.0.1 If you unlock via ultrasn0w or gevey, make sure you only get to 5.0.1 via a custom IPSW! Once you’re at 5.0.1, use the latest redsn0w 0.9.10 to both jailbreak and untether.
If you’re already at 5.0.1 with a tethered jailbreak, you have two choices: either run redsn0w 0.9.10 over your current jailbreak (deselect “Install Cydia” if you do that), or install the Cydia package prepared by the chronic devteam. The patches are the same regardless of which you choose.
Some of you are using a hybrid 5.0/5.0.1 configuration. If so, do not attempt to install this untether over that setup! You will most likely get into a reboot cycle. Do a sync and fresh restore to 5.0.1 then install the jailbreak + untether.

running iOS 5.01. Dev team hasn’t added support to any new baseband so it will be compatible with basebands 04.26.08, 05.11.07, 05.12.01, 05.13.04, and 06.15.00 for iPhone 3GS and baseband 01.59.00 for iPhone 4. You can find your iPhone ’s baseband by going to Settings –> About –> Modem Firmware.
Please note that the only way to upgrade to iOS 5.0.1 while preserving the baseband that is compatible with Ultrasn0w is to use a custom IPSW created using

iPhone 3GS owners in our comments section below noticed a problem with the untethered jailbreak available for the old-bootrom 3GS. We’ve corrected that problem in 0.9.9b9d. If you have an old-bootrom 3GS and have already used last night’s redsn0w on it, you can re-run it again without losing anything. Just use this new version, go to Extras->IPSW and manually select the 5.0.1 IPSW, then go back and Jailbreak it again (but you can uncheck Cydia because it’s already installed).
