After weeks of rumors, speculation, leaked photos, and parody videos, Apple ‘s new iPhones have landed. As widely expected, the company announced two devices at its Tuesday morning event in Cupertino, Calif. — the 5C and the 5S.

Samsung Galaxy S3 tops iPhone in smartphone satisfaction poll

A couple of Samsung phones shot past those of arch-rival Apple in a new survey measuring satisfaction among smartphone users.

The Galaxy S3 and Galaxy Note 2 both took home grades of 84 out of 100 in a study released Wednesday by the American Customer Satisfaction Index. The Galaxy S4 was not included as the survey was conducted just prior to its debut.

Quarter of iPhones have a broken screen, poll says

As many as a quarter of iPhone owners are walking around with a broken screen, according to new figures.

Mobile-phone insurance Web site MobileInsurance.co.uk (which obviously has a vested interest here) asked iPhone owners whether their blower’s display is currently broken, smashed, or cracked in any way, to which 23 percent yes.

Well, it’s official.

The new iPhone is the iPhone 5, and many of the rumors proved to be true: bigger screen, 4G LTE, and a faster processor — all good stuff, to be sure.
