iPhone 6 photos have landed. But the usual caveats apply when the real iPhone 6 is likely still in the testing stage at Apple .
First the caveat. “It is entirely unclear whether the device in the images is a legitimate iPhone 6 prototype or whether it is a fake,” according to MacRumors, which obtained the photos via an anonymous Twitter user. (more…)

Flicker users will find two new enhancements in the latest version of the iOS app.
Released on Wednesday, Flickr 2.3 for iOS offers one new feature for all iOS users. Using the image editor, you can tell the app to automatically straighten a photo you’ve snapped. Don’t like the angle the app has chosen? You can modify it manually through an adjustment tool.

Your iPhone of the future could deliver better color photos if equipped with three separate sensors.
Granted Tuesday by the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office, an Apple patent dubbed “Image capture using luminance and chrominance sensors” envisions a way to include one sensor for luminance and two for chrominance as a way to better capture colors in your moble device’s photographs.

The camera on your future iPhone or iPad could house two sensors, helping you snap higher-quality photos and videos.
Awarded Tuesday by the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office, the patent appropriately titled “Dual image sensor image processing system and method” describes how a dual-sensor camera would outshine a single-sensor system.
