iPhone soaks up 75 percent of all mobile phone profits

Apple may not be the world’s leading mobile phone maker but its cut of both profits and sales puts it firmly at the top.

Though it holds only around 9 percent of the global mobile phone market, Apple raked in 75 percent of all profits across the industry last quarter, according to Asymco analyst Horace Dediu.

has just reported that UK Operator O2 is sending user’s phone numbers in the header information when you visit a website over O2′s 3G network.
The issue was brought to our attention to Lewis Peckover, who created a simple webpage to check the information that a mobile browser would send to a website when it requested data.

More Than One-Tenth of Mobile Phone Users In The U.S. Are Using An iPhone

‘s latest report has revealed that Apple had surpassed 10% share in the US mobile phone market in the last quarter, which means one in every ten mobile phone users in the US are using an iPhone now.
comScore took a look at the three month period ending in September. Apple ‘s OEM market share has gone up to 10.2% from 8.9% at the end of June.

Word to the wise: occasionally turning off your iPhone can apparently help improve battery life.
