After what can only be described as a poor start for Google’s much-anticipated Gmail app for Apple ‘s iOS platform, the software has returned.

The app, which was released earlier this month and then yanked almost immediately, had a bug that Google said broke notifications. It also served up an error message the first time users fired it up.

“White models of Apple 's new iPhone 4 have continued to be more challenging to manufacture than we originally expected, and as a result they will not be available until later this year. The availability of the more popular iPhone 4 black models is not affected.”

Earlier this month, Palm had released an
that enabled Pre to sync with iTunes with the help of a hack that changed Pre's USB Product ID to that of iPod Video's and thus enabling the syncing to happen. As a follow up, Apple has now released a new version of iTunes which has disabled the syncing; yet again.

AT&T charges an iPhone user with a service that's not available on the iPhone .

I’ve been a customer of AT&T every since 2003, when I got myself my first cell phone ever, and I’ve been a very good one. The proof: I set my bill to autopay from day one and even convinced a few friends to move to AT&T (mostly so that we don’t have to use the minutes to talk to each other.)
