iOS 7 beta points to slow-mo cam feature in next iPhone

Odds are strong that Apple will debut an iPhone 5S in September or October, making it peak season for both rumors and educated guesses about the future device. Next iPhone display production to begin, says Japan report

Mass production will begin in June for the 'next' iPhone , according to a Japanese-language industrial newspaper.

A Japan-based report indicates that production of at least one key component for the next iPhone will begin next month.

Sharp will begin volume production in June of the display “panel” for the “next” iPhone model at its Kameyama plant in Mie prefecture, according to (more…)

iTunes is 10 years old, and it often feels like it.

Apple has certainly gone through some efforts to make iTunes look and feel different, but it’s the load that iTunes bears that’s the real problem. Once upon a time, iTunes was made to work with an iPod . The setup was simple; the software was good. It held MP3s and acted as the bridge.

Apple to sell 75 million low-cost iPhones next year, says analyst

A low-cost iPhone could see unit sales of 75 million in 2014, projects Piper Jaffray analyst Gene Munster.

In an investors note released today, Munster said he expects Apple to sell a $300 non-subsidized iPhone starting in September. Such a device is likely to trigger a 30 percent cannibalization rate, which means that for every three low-cost iPhones sold, one full-price iPhone is cannibalized.

Next iPhone, iPad Mini said to face delays over new tech

The next major versions of two of Apple ‘s key products are said to face delays as the company scrambles to add new security and display technologies.

In a note to investors this morning, summarized over at Apple Insider, KGI Securities analyst Ming-chi Kuo said the next iPhone is being held up by Apple ‘s desire to include finger-scanning technology.

Apple could offer a digital wallet system in the next year or two.

Apple kicks off free next day shipping for all iPhones

Buy an iPhone through Apple online, and you can now score free next day shipping.

The deal is good for the iPhone 5, iPhone 4S, and iPhone 4 but restricts purchases to two per buyer. Apple already offers free standard shipping on orders that total more than $50. But next day shipping normally kicks in an additional charge depending on the size of the order.
