Apple Inc., preparing to announce a new set-top box that delivers TV to consumers, will include movies from Netflix Inc., according to three people with knowledge of the plans.

You need to be a Netflix member to use the app to watch movies and TV shows on your iPhone or iPod Touch.
Netflix for iPhone and iPod Touch works over Wi-Fi as well as over 3G, which was a nice surprise as we were expecting it to work only over Wi-Fi. Though it remains to be seen if it will work properly over AT&T’s congested 3G network.
You can also browse movies and manage your instant Queue from your iPhone .

Netflix has apparently been taking challenges one at a time, and at present their focus is purely on the gaming consoles and Internet TV. Netflix has an ongoing exclusive deal with XBox Live in the gaming console market. This apart, Netflix has also been pushing hard on the Internet TV market where there is some stiff competition. Netflix might be planning to bring its “Watch Instantly” feature to new devices soon. Currently built in to several products, like Sony HDTVs, and very popular on the Xbox 360, the feature lets subscribers watch any of thousands of movies in the Netflix library on their TVs. There are no physical discs; the videos stream via Web connection.
