Apple has finally managed to take out the Evasi0n jailbreak.
Released yesterday, iOS 6.1.3 fixes a security bug that allowed someone to sneak pass the lock screen and make phone calls, listen to voice mail, and view contact photos.

IPhone and iPad owners who jump to iOS version 6.1.2 can still jailbreak their devices courtesy of Evasi0n.
Just a few hours after Apple released its latest iOS update, the evad3rs team was out with evasi0n version 1.4 designed to work with iOS 6.1.2 devices. A team member tweeted the news late yesterday.

As detailed by the Microsoft-focused tech site Redmond Pie, Redsn0w version 0.9.15b3 can jailbreak Apple ‘s latest OS. The jailbreak requires that your device be tethered, meaning you’ll have to connect it to your computer each time you restart it.

The theory is you set it up to recognise the wifi in your house, because if you’ve put your phone down in your house, obviously a stranger can’t pick it up, so it doesn’t really need a pin.
When I used to share an iPod dock, I’d have appreciated one that only pinlocks when charging within a set geofence, but I don’t think my use-case is that common.
