Along with iBooks 2, Apple also unveiled iBooks Author, which is a Mac application that will enable content creators to create and publish multi-touch digital texbooks for the iPad.
Apple aims to reinvent textbooks with iBooks 2 and iBooks Author by bringing a new textbook experience for the iPad. iBooks Author is also now available in the Mac App Store.

, iPhone Dev team has now released an updated version of Redns0w – Redsn0w 0.9.10b4, which includes the fix for the iBooks issue and  launchd socket issue, which was randomly causing some issues.
The b4 version of redsn0w incorporates the 5.0.1 fix for iBooks, and also for sporadic problems with launchctl.  Thanks to @xvolks for merging the iBooks (sandbox) fix from @comex’s github into the overall corona untether from @pod2g!  As usual, you (more…)

Following the launch of iBooks 2, iBooks Author and iTunes U app, Apple has also released iTunes 10.5.3, which  allows you to sync interactive iBooks textbooks to your iPad.
According to the release notes, iTunes 10.5.3 includes:
