When Apple releases a new iOS software update, one of the most interesting things to do was to go through the configuration files to find out references to future iOS devices.
Unfortunately,
that was seeded to developers few hours back, Apple has started adding dozens of new fake references to future iOS devices such as “iPhone 11,3″, “iPad11,1″, ”iPod 11,1″, and “AppleTV10,3″ in the USBDeviceConfiguration.plist file in an attempt to make it difficult (more…)

Apple gets cute with rumor sites, references dozens of future products

In the latest build of iOS 5.1, now beta 2, Apple has finally decided to take steps against the popular rumor site tactic of rifling through iOS code to find references to new hardware models.

Apple is now making it tougher for rumor sites to evaluate future hardware updates.

earlier today, Trevor Eckhart of Connecticut revealed that many Android, BlackBerry and Nokia phones come bundled with software called “IQRD” developed by a company called Carrier IQ that secretly logs everything a user does on the mobile phone.
