A new survey shows that 54% of people who are planning on buying a smartphone in the next three months plan to buy an iPhone .
ChangeWave Research, in a new survey of North American consumers, has found that a significant number of people are looking at Apple and Samsung for their next smartphone. Both companies have an “explosive momentum” behind them.

Apple gets cute with rumor sites, references dozens of future products

In the latest build of iOS 5.1, now beta 2, Apple has finally decided to take steps against the popular rumor site tactic of rifling through iOS code to find references to new hardware models.

Apple is now making it tougher for rumor sites to evaluate future hardware updates.

earlier today, Trevor Eckhart of Connecticut revealed that many Android, BlackBerry and Nokia phones come bundled with software called “IQRD” developed by a company called Carrier IQ that secretly logs everything a user does on the mobile phone.
