Apple to buy Israeli flash memory manufacturer?

According to a report over at TechCrunch (drawing on Calcalist, a Hebrew publication), Apple is preparing to purchase Israeli flash memory manufacturer Anobit for $400 million to $500 million.

The acquisition would be CEO Tim Cook’s first as the guy in charge at Apple , though he has been through the process before. Apple recently purchased P.A. Semi in order to produce the mobile processors (more…)

Adobe released a new version of its Flash Media Server, which now enables website owners to stream Flash based videos to iOS devices. It isn’t the same as Flash running on iOS devices, but a workaround designed by Adobe where the media server does on-the-fly transcoding to deliver an iOS compatible stream.

Leak: iPhone 5 will not have front-facing LED flash

According to a recent leak in the parts distribution chain, the iPhone 5 may not have the rumored front-facing LED flash as previously expected.
