Apple creating better-sounding speakerphone for iOS devices

iPhone and iPad users unhappy with their speakerphones may be treated to better sound in future models.

Apple has invented a new speakerphone system for iOS devices, according to a patent published yesterday by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office. The patent application is filled with pages of the usual technical jargon.

Futulele turns iOS devices into a ukulele

Ukuleles aren’t instruments that are very expensive, or hard to come by, unlike pianos or synthesizers. However, that hasn’t stopped app company Amidio from coming up with a creative way of assembling a digital version of the ukulele with an iPad, iPhone , and a case that holds the two devices.

Apple Working on More Accurate Methods to Detect Water Damage in iOS Devices

Apple will likely want to endorse one of the ‘electronics protection schemes’ that are currently in research. If they can be implemented without incurring a heat disadvantage, I would guess that Apple would surely incorporate this technology, it may increase the cost minimally, but as an avid Apple product consumer, it is no different than buying insurance for our possessions which protect us against un-forseen losses.

Apple is combating Siri ports, blocking unauthorized devices

Apple only wants Siri to be helpful for devices it approves.

The hacking community is abuzz with news that Apple has decided to thwart attempts to bring Siri to older-model iPhones. The requirements for connecting your iPhone with Siri has a new element, a token, that has blocked third-party apps like Spire from accessing Siri’s database.
