If you’re a Twitter addict and a long time iPhone user then you’ve probably heard of Loren Brichter. Loren was the developer of a popular iPhone app called Tweetie. Tweetie was renamed as ”
” after Twitter bought Brichter’s company – Atebits last year.
But after a brief stint at Twitter, Loren who was the lead developer of Twitter for iPhone and iPad is leaving the company.

Developer ports Siri to iPhone 3GS

A follow-up to 9to5Mac’s report on developer Steven Troughton-Smith’s porting of Siri to an iPhone 4 reveals that another developer, Ryan Petrich, has created a scenario for Siri to function on an iPhone 3GS, though performance is not very good.

While Apple ’s iOS is the best mobile operating system, its pop up notification system has been much maligned for being intrusive and modal, iOS competitors on the other hand have been doing a good job on this front of late. HP’s webOS for example has a banner notification system that has been widely acclaimed.

Attention all Line2 iPhone , iPod Touch, and iPad users:
Please do not upgrade to iOS version 4.2.
If you upgrade to iOS 4.2 and you are running Line2 in the background, the ringer will continue to ring even after an incoming call is answered. This affects Line2 as well as all other VoIP and social calling apps. (Note: If you do not use Line2 your Toktumi service will not be effected.)
