It’s not the heat, it’s the humidity. You might just hear those words coming out of the mouth of Apple ‘s next iPhone .

The iPhone 5S is still a hot item on the shopping list of many smartphone buyers, according to a new survey.

Among the 1,003 consumers polled last week by Piper Jaffray analyst Gene Munster, 33 pecent of those who plan to buy a smartphone expect to snag an iPhone 5S. That percentage is down only slightly from the 35 percent eyeing a 5S in December 2013 and (more…)

Apples iAnywhere would turn iOS devices into computers -- analyst

Apple ‘s next big thing could be a combination Mac OS-iOS platform that would let iDevices function as full-blown computers. At least, that’s the latest forecast from the folks at JP Morgan.

iPhone sales will be flat this quarter, predicts analyst

Apple ‘s “disappointing” iPhone sales growth could continue this quarter and over the foreseeable future.

Yesterday Apple reported sales of 51 million iPhones for the December quarter. Though that number hit a record, Wall Street analysts had anticipated 55 million in sales, triggering renewed questions about the company’s future iPhone growth.

Apple could reveal iPhone unit sales as high as 57.5 million later today. At least, that’s the forecast from Sanford Bernstein analyst Toni Sacconaghi, Jr.

How large will the iPhone 6's display be? It's a done deal at 4.8 inches, says Cowen and Company.

A consensus of analyst speculation is building for an iPhone that’s not quite 5 inches.

iOS, Android users equally happy with their apps -- analyst

The top iOS and Android apps are about on par in terms of customer satisfaction, says Piper Jaffray analyst Gene Munster.

Surveying user reviews and comments about the top 200 free and paid iOS and Android apps, Munster found a virtual tie between the two environments, though Android had a slight edge. The 112 apps common to both platforms scored an average rating of 4.28 (more…)
