OnLive Brings Console-Class Games To iPad

OnLive – the cloud gaming company that provides games-on-demand service, delivering console-based games over the internet through PC, Macs and TVs, has just announced plans to release an iPad app.
The OnLive app is groundbreaking as it brings high-performance games-previously limited to only consoles and computers to Apple ‘s iPad by remotely streaming them from their central servers.
OnLive, Inc., the pioneer of cloud gaming, announced that it is bringing console-class gaming to tablets and phones with the revolutionary OnLive app for tablet and mobile platforms. The latest, top-tier, high-performance games—previously limited to only consoles and computers—will be available for instant play via the free OnLive app on over 500 million mobile devices over Wi-Fi or mobile networks in the US and UK.
iPad users will be able to play 25 console-class games that have been adapted for touch-screen control, including the gritty, award-winning hit L.A. Noire from Rockstar Games and family titles like LEGO Batman: The Videogame. In addition to that, iPad users will also be able to play from a library of nearly 200 games with Universal OnLive Wireless Controller, which is available for $49.99.

Users have an option to buy a game that are available for $19.99 for the family-friendly games and $49.99 for the new releases or can opt for the PlayPack subscriptions, which are available for $9.99 per month, which gives you unlimited access to over 100 popular games. The games that you’ve purchased can be played on any OnLive supported device instantly from where you left off.
