Apple Releases iOS 4.3 Beta 3; Allows Users To Cancel App Downloads Mid-Way

have observed that iOS 4.3 finally gives users the option to cancel downloading apps and delete them mid-way. This feature though very minor, will come in handy as I’ve been in situations where I want to cancel downloading of an app, especially when I find out it’s a large application. Earlier the only option, one had was to pause the download. The feature is not new to iOS 4.3 beta 3 but it was only noticed earlier today.
The feature is quite simple to use. All you have to do is enter the icon arrangement mode (“Wiggle mode”) as you normally do to delete an app. This time however, you’ll notice the “x” appear over the currently downloading app as well. Just hit it, confirm, and iOS will proceed to interrupt the download and delete the app.
