iPod Touch Second Generation Loses Support for AirPrint

With this, the 2nd generation iPod Touch now joins the iPhone 3G and the prehistoric iPhone 2G to be the only devices on which AirPrint would not work.
When Apple had announed the AirPrint feature, it had listed iPod Touch second generation as one of the supported devices:
“AirPrint will work with iPad, iPhone 4, iPhone 3GS and iPod touch (second generation and later).”
But eagle eyed folks at 9to5Mac have observed that Apple has now dropped it from the list of supported devices. The press release now reads:
“AirPrint will work with iPad, iPhone 4, iPhone 3GS and iPod touch (third generation and later).”
For those of you who were in a cave for the past few weeks, let us remind you that AirPrint is Apple 's wireless printing technology that would be supported by a wide range of HP's ePrint enabled printers. It was
on September 15 2010 and yes, it does precisely what you thought it would do – print out stuff directly from your iOS devices. The AirPrint feature will be available in
