iOS 4.2 GM Brings AirPlay Back To YouTube App; Reveals New Multitasking Bar, MobileMe Login Changes

You might remember that Apple had, quite surprisingly,
from the previous beta version of iOS 4.2. AirPlay allows users to stream videos from their

. This means that users will be able to stream videos from YouTube app wirelessly to Apple TV with a simple tap of a button. It looks like AirPlay features also works on Mobile Safari and several other third party applications.
Besides this, developers have also observed few more changes in iOS 4.2 GM.
Users can now access Volume and Brightness controls directly from the multitasking bar. There is also a new AirPlay button for quick access. Check out the new-look multitasking bar in the image below.
The MobileMe settings page now carries an interesting addition. Users now have the option to log into their MobileMe account using an Apple ID. The settings page also links directly to an Apple ID registration page. However, these login functions do not seem to be functional at the moment and so we are not sure how this feature will pan out in the public release.
