Apple Might Release iOS 4.1.1 To Fix Daylight Saving Time Bug

When we had first reported the issue, Apple had not yet acknowledged the issue.
Apple Australia told ZDNet Australia that a solution to the bug was already in the pipeline.
“We're aware of this issue and already developed a fix which will be available to customers in an upcoming software update,” Apple said.
However, it remains to be seen if Apple will fix the issue in
, which is expected to be released in November, which will be too late as users in the US will switch back to Standard Time on November 7 while European users are going to switch back a week earlier.
So as Macrumors is speculating, Apple might release
iOS 4.1.1 sometime in the near future to fix the bug before it affects a majority of the users.

. Its highly unlikely at least for all existing iDevices as limera1n uses a bootrom exploit and Geohot has mentioned that it is unpatchable.
