Flashlight App Brings Unofficial Tethering To The iPhone; Might Be Removed From The App Store Soon

Folks at AppShopper have followed the instructions provided in the video and have confirmed that tethering works as expected.
was the first iPhone app to briefly bring tethering to the iPhone , basically turning your iPhone into a portable Wi-Fi hotspot, thus enabling your laptop or any Wi-Fi enabled device to surf the internet using your iPhone 's data connection. But it was quickly removed from the App Store. So expect Apple to remove Handy Light from the App Store.
In the US, with the release iOS 4.0,
by paying an additional fee of $20 per month if you have opted for the DataPro plan.
So if you want the unofficial tethering feature, then download the Handy Light app (
) before it is removed.
