The iWork for iPad comes as three separate applications for Keynote, Pages and Numbers that bring all the functionalities of the desktop version to the iPad. One of the notable features is that the iPad version of iWork lets users work on tools through simple taps and finger gestures. For instance, the slide management feature on Keynote lets you pack multiple slides into a bundle with just one simple finger gesture.
Interestingly, iWork also lets users import iWork '09 and Microsoft Office files into the iPad as well as export them in iWork '09 or PDF file formats. As
notes, a lot of focus has gone into establishing the iPad as the users' primary presentation tool. The iPad comes with a cable that will let users connect the device to a projector; something that will come very handy for presentations.
Apple has announced that the Keynote, Pages and Numbers
will individually be made available for $9.99 from the iTunes store.
While it is no doubt a wonderful productivity suite for the iPad, we wonder if Apple will reimagine it for the iPhone ? What do you think?
