Source Claims Apple Has Pre-Ordered All 10 Inch Display Screens From Asian Suppliers For Tablet

suggest that the Apple Tablet is certainly coming with a 10.1″ display screen. The website quotes an anonymous designer as saying that their firm was unable to secure an order for 10 inch screens from any of the several Asian suppliers because Apple had apparently pre-ordered them all. In the source's words
“We were designing a product for a customer and we needed 10 inch screens, but we've been trying for months and can't get one from any of the Asian suppliers. We were told that Apple pre-ordered them all. All 10 inch LCDs, and all 10 inch OLEDs too. It's for the Apple tablet.”
While the veracity of the source's statements cannot be determined, it however does add up to the earlier rumors that suggested Apple 's grand plans for the Tablet. Late last year, the ex-President of Google China, Kaifu Lee in a post on a Chinese website
that Apple expected to sell close to 10 million units of Apple Tablet in the first year of output.
The numbers might look ambitious for a device that does not have too much of a precedence. But as we have earlier heard, Cupertino is looking at the Tablet as potentially replacing your newspapers, eReaders, TV, gaming consoles,etc. besides letting the users to surf the internet. . In a post on his blog, Gruber writes that the recent statements from the VP at France Telecom were misinterpreted and his own sources have told him that the Tablet does not have a camera or webcam.
If true, this could certainly cast doubts over Apple 's speculated ambition to offer the Tablet as an all-purpose device.
