Dragon Dictation iPhone App Lets You Dictate All Your Emails and Text Messages

The iPhone app is pretty simple and intuitive to use. To start speech-to-text conversion, simply launch the app and press the '
' button. Once you are finished with your dictation, press '
'. The app takes a moment to process the recording on the Nuance data centers and returns the text output in no time. You may also dictate punctuations like 'question mark', 'Period', etc. if you need the software to work extra precise.
While it is no doubt an exciting iPhone application to use, here is a pointer if you are particular about your privacy. The iPhone app uploads names of your contacts from your address book in order to improve their recognition accuracy. However, the company has stated that only the contact names are uploaded and no other contact details are collected. The company writes:
“In order to improve recognition accuracy, Dragon Dictation will only upload names from your address book. No emails, addresses, phone numbers, or other personal information are uploaded. This information is not used for any purpose other than improving the usability of the application. All data is stored in secure data centers according to stringent privacy and security standards.
