reported about a case where a 15 year-old Belgian had claimed that his iPhone exploded.
Apple claims that based on their initial investigation; the incidents are not due to any battery problems, but have instead been caused by exerting excessive force on the iPhones' screens.
Herve Novelli, French consumer affairs minister who met Apple 's sales director in France, Michel Coulomb regarding the incidents has accepted Apple ’s findings for now but has noted that it was too early to confirm the root cause of the problem.
We will keep you posted on this developing story, but as I had mentioned earlier:
Though the cases reported might sound a little scary, Apple has sold more than 45 million iPhones and iPod Touches and so far only few incidents have been reported, so frankly I'm not worried.
