iPhone steering wheel, for those who take racing apps too seriously

What can I say? I'm a sucker for racing sims.

I’m not what you’d call a fan of chintzy, plastic, snap-on video game peripherals. I’ve got enough plastic guitars and controllers cluttering up my living room already without taking up more space with snap-on shells that make my Wii Remote look like the world’s shortest golf club. However, I take my racing sims seriously, even on (more…)

Four killer iPhone apps for runners

The Get Running app lives up to its name, gradually guiding you from couch to 5K.

I used to run without music. Then I started bringing along an MP3 player. And finally I caved in to strapping my iPhone to my arm.

Sure, it’s a little unwieldy, but it’s comforting to have a phone with you just in case you need a sag wagon.

And don’t forget the apps. Your iPhone can double not only as an iPod , (more…)

So Apple on Friday released an update to the iPhone OS (3.0.1) that takes care of an SMS vulnerability. It’s a fairly important patch, and usually when Apple updates the iPhone OS, jailbreakers have to wait until the Dev Team comes out with a new version of jailbreaking software before they can update.

But according to the iPhone Dev Team’s Twitter, this is not the case with the 3.0.1 firmware. (more…)

Dev Team: RedSn0w can Jailbreak iPhone OS 3.0.1 and UltraSn0w can Unlock it

News | Thursday July 30 2009 6:19 PM | Comments (0) Tags: , , , , ,

This is what the Dev Team have to say about jailbreaking and unlocking iPhone OS 3.0.1:
“You can re-use redsn0w v0.8 we released a few weeks ago to jailbreak today’s 3.0.1 update. Just let iTunes update or restore you to official 3.0.1 then run redsn0w. The only “trick” is that when redsn0w asks you to identify the IPSW used, point it at the 3.0 IPSW instead of the 3.0.1 one. After the jailbreak, reinstall ultrasn0w 0.9 if you need the unlock.”
